Night out at the local baseball game

Almost each summer, Roger's work does a barbecue at the local Eugene Emeralds baseball team. We get to go 2 hours before the game for hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, soda, etc. We get to enjoy eating and watching the teams warm up for the game and then enjoy watching the game. A fun night to be out with the family!

Before the new hospital at Riverbend in Springfield opened, they offered tours to the public for one weekend. It gave people a chance to see areas that are not accessible to the direct public. Already working in healthcare, Jennifer was in heaven touring the operating rooms and seeing all the new equipment. Even though not everything was in it's place, like all the patient beds, supplies, etc. they tried to have one room in each area set up to show what it would be like when it was finished. It was a good time and a lot of people turned out!

Track & Field Trials for the 2008 Summer Olympics

Living in Eugene we have the elite priveledge of being known as Track Town USA and because of that, we get to host the Track & Field Trials for the 2008 & 2012 Summer Olympics. Eugene did a spectacular job hosting with many events and activities planned if you couldn't get a ticket into the actual track. They had an area with 2 HUGE screens to watch the Trials if you weren't participating in the many activities. This was a lot of fun to be a part of and can't wait for 2012!

Piano recital

At the end of each year Taylor's piano teacher puts on a recital with all of her students. This was Taylor's 3rd piano recital last June. This was very special as he received a certificate from participating in the Guild (which he is holding that certificate in the top photo). We are very proud of him as some of his ability seems to come quite natural.

Outdoor School - 4th grade

Every year the 4th & 5th graders at Taylor's school go to Outdoor School for 3 days/2 nights. On the 2nd night the parents get to attend the campfire and the kids (who are split into groups) as well as the teachers put on skits that they wrote. It was an absolute blast and we laughed a lot as these kids can be quite funny. Can't wait to see what they decide to do for this year!
